Strelitzia Nicolai, commonly known as the giant white bird of paradise or wild banana, is a species of banana-like plants with erect woody stems reaching a height of 6 m and the clumps formed can spread as far as 3.5 m. The white bird of paradise is a great addition to living rooms, and provides a lush tropical flair to pool areas, patios and bathrooms.

Care Tips

Light:  The White Bird of Paradise Houseplant loves full sun. If you live in a harsh climate it’s best to place Strelitzia Nicolai in bright indirect light.

Water:Keep your Strelitzia Nicolai soil moist, but avoid overwatering in winter. Aim to water when the top two inches of soil are dry

Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. You can facilitate this by using a pebble tray or misting the plant regularly 

Feed: Fertilise the plant every two weeks during spring and monthly during summer. Use our organic indoor plant fertilizer to keep your plant looking healthy!

Toxicity: The White Bird of Paradise is toxic to pets, and minimally toxic to children if ingested
